WHO KNEW?

I never would have thought.... I mean I'm not trying to brag. I know I'm not a dog...but I look at these pictures and I think "WOW!!"

And I look at my hair and see those really are locs now... no more braids! I am a loc'ed princess!

For this contest that I won, I will also be in a national ad campaign & need to complete my photo-shoot THIS WEEKEND!! Man, these people do not waste time! So now this tom-boy need to come up w/ some girly/pretty outfit & a good hairdo. Of all the pictures I've posted through my hair journey, is there a style you think really works for me? How about this outfit?

My Bright Start!

Bright Starts™, the flagship brand of Kids II, Inc., a designer and manufacturer of infant and toddler baby gear, is looking for eight inspirational mothers who have overcome the extraordinary adversity of the fight against breast cancer and used the opportunity to model positive lessons to all, especially children.
The eight winners will be flown to Atlanta in October for a weekend of wellness where they will be recognized at the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Pink Tie Ball and receive a donation to give, in their name, to the breast cancer charity of their choice. They will also be featured in a national advertising campaign and will share their inspirational stories throughout Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Winners will be selected by July 2nd, 2007 and notified via email and phone.



Well things are looking up. After a weekend of being so-called 'depressed' about things, I got the call yesterday. I WON!! I'm one of 8 inspirational winning mothers in this national contest! Talk about a pick-me-up!
